Disclaimer

Please read this carefully. FireRisk.ai is for awareness and education only — it is not an emergency, evacuation, or safety system, and its scores and simulations are estimates, not guarantees.

⚠️ In a wildfire emergency, do not rely on FireRisk.ai

Follow Watch Duty, your local authorities, and official evacuation orders — and call 911. Never use any FireRisk.ai score, map, or simulation to make an evacuation or safety decision.

1. Not for emergencies, evacuation, or life-safety decisions

FireRisk.ai is an informational and educational website. Nothing on it — including our risk scores, the wildfire spread simulator, ember/arrival estimates, maps, alerts, “near me” features, or any live-fire page — is an emergency, evacuation, or life-safety tool, and none of it should ever be relied upon to decide whether to evacuate, shelter, travel, or stay. Our simulator is a simplified physics illustration that cannot account for real fuels, suppression, spotting, or minute-to-minute weather; its modeled spread times, directions, and ember reach are illustrative ranges only. Never make any evacuation, safety, or property decision based on FireRisk.ai. For real-time fire information and official evacuation orders, follow Watch Duty, InciWeb, your county sheriff and emergency management, and local authorities — and call 911 in an emergency.

2. Scores and estimates — not guarantees

Our 0–100 wildfire risk score, insurability indicators, home-value impact figures, savings ranges, and any other modeled output are estimates produced by combining public data with our own models. They are not guarantees, predictions, or warranties of your actual wildfire risk, insurability, premium, claim outcome, property value, or safety. Your insurer, lender, appraiser, and local fire authority may reach different conclusions, and their determinations — not ours — govern. See our methodology for how scores are calculated.

3. Not professional insurance, legal, financial, or medical advice

FireRisk.ai does not provide professional advice. Our insurance content (including carrier information, appeal guidance, and matching) is general information, not insurance, legal, or financial advice, and we are not your broker, agent, attorney, or advisor. Air-quality and smoke health tips are general information, not medical advice. Always consult a licensed professional — a licensed insurance agent, attorney, financial advisor, or your doctor — about your specific situation before acting.

4. Data may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate

We aggregate publicly available federal, state, and third-party data (for example USFS, FEMA, NIFC, USGS, NWS/NOAA, LANDFIRE, AirNow, and ADS-B feeds). That data can be delayed, incomplete, out of date, or unavailable, and feeds can fail. The absence of an alert, detection, or fire on FireRisk.ai does not mean you are safe. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information.

5. Not a government agency; third-party links & referrals

FireRisk.ai is an independent, privately operated website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, fire department, or insurer. We link to third-party sites and may refer you to service providers or retailers; we may earn a commission from some links at no additional cost to you. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services.

6. Limitation of liability

Your use of FireRisk.ai is at your own risk and is governed by our Terms of Use, which include an assumption of risk and a limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FireRisk.ai is not liable for any loss, injury, or damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or its content.
